Q.

my daughter is diagnosed as having scabies and prescribed to apply scabex lotion to whole body for two days. it's two weeks now after the treatment but her itching still persist. she sleeps with me and I too feels itching now. pliz advice

A. hi parent it's contagious seems like you are developing scabies as well use the same lotion change the bed covers regularly maintain hygeine . . . . .. . .

A. scabies is a contagious disease unless you maintain proper hygiene it recurs in the same family it is advisable to apply scabies medicine scaboma same time all family members followed by all clothes even bedsheets towel everything must be wash properly And dried in hot d sun otherwise it recurs

A. Hello scabies is contagious and the medications as to be repeated so it is better to check with your doctor and he can guide you better on examination of the same.. eggs needs to be treated after 14days again so check with your doctor

Q. #asktheexperts Hi Dr., about 2 months ago, my baby (8 months old) started getting small acne on the body more on feet, hands, waist. and were itching and getting red. We visited a dr. and he said it's due to oil massage and gave different oil and lotion. We used it for 2-3 weeks but it didn't get better, then we visited another dr. who diagnosed it as scabies and suggested Permethrin treatment (for entire family) and we did it thoroughly. Acne got better but started happening again after two weeks, he suggested to repeat treatment. but same thing happened after two weeks. And again two weeks ago, we applied Permit for the 3rd time. It is happening again now. he said it's scabies only and no other treatment or diagnosis is there. I am not sure what to do now. Please help.
