my daughter is 8 months old and she is premature...born in 33 weeks....yesterday she had fever...I am giving babygesic...Temperature reduces immediately after medicine...but she has cough in chest...can u prescribe medicines for cough

Dr Raksha guptaMom of a 9 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. These kind of fever are usually Viral in nature .
You must give paracetamol containing medicine to baby at 6 hourly for 1 day, if fever does come down to base line you must add meftal p syrup for that spike.you can do tepid sponging with Luke warm water.
for cough may give Alex junior syrup
