Q.

my daughter is 7 months old. she had fever and cough from Saturday. yesterday and today her urine output is very less. now it's been 2 and half hour she hasn't passed urine but she is active and playing well. I'm worried.

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repeating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if requiredcough is a protective mechanism of body which may be due to infection or allergy . it needs proper assessment before giving any medicine presently stegfam inhalation can be given it will be beneficial
