Q.

my daughter is 6 months old and I have started feeding her with cow milk now whenever she do potty it is mostly tight which makes her uncomfortable.please guide

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babiesd and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Mdedications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

A. Milk – Some children develop constipation because they are unable to tolerate the protein in cow's milk. If other treatments for constipation are not helpful, try having the child avoid all cow's milk (and milk products) for at least two weeks.
