Q.

My daughter is 5 and half months old.. She was born in 8 months and was kept under examination.. So from that point of time she's on aptamil preterm feed.. So by what time should we stop the top feed.. Also she takes breast feed but we can't avoid top feed till now.. Is top feed safe for the future of my child.. Does it make any unnecessary changes in body..?

A. Milk is very important for babies specially in the initial days of life breast milk is very important and should be given exclusively till 5-6 months of age . formula milk should be given only as a substitute to breast milk if due to any reason it is not sufficient to fulfill the demand of the baby. according to the age different stage of formula milk are there like stage 1 till 6 monthfs of age stage 2 from 6 months to 12 months and thereafter stage 3 . after one year cows milk should be started and any kfind of health drink powder in milk should be used only after the completion of two years of age .

A. good morning I would recommend you to keep the child on formula milk up to the age of 6 months after that you can introduce semi solid food as well as water to the baby but definitely not before that
