my daughter is 3yrs and 2months she is having fever and cold and cough too today morning I gave her 5ml meftal syrup its okay or it is harmful. please reply what to do

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ havtric 3/ sinarest.
As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptocms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. yes you can give, 6 months to 24 months: 5ml of infant paracetamol suspension, given up to four times a day. 2 years to 4 years: 7.5ml of infant paracetamol suspension, given up to four times a day.
