Q.

my daughter is 3 years and 4 months old. if I give her apple cut into pieces to eat my husband fights with me. he says grate the apple and warm it then feed her.also he doesn't let my daughter eat rice and roti by chewing. he says mash rice then feed her, roti with sabji mash perfectly so that she will not chew and just take it inside. if I oppose he fights with me. what should I do. according to him he is the guardian of the house and he will decide everything.

A. Dear ma’am, if the kid is chewing solids without difficulty then you need not mash the food at all. Let her use her teeth and jaw muscles to keep functioning actively. Chewing strengthens it.

A. no there is no need to grate the Apple at 3 year 4 months of age baby and you can cut the apple and give it to your baby chewing helps in improving the digestibility
