Q.

My daughter is 2 year 1 month old from past couple of days she as got nasal congestion but no runny nose no fever nothing. But now she as got cough a kind of wet cough. what as to be done should I give any medicine for it. plz suggest.

A. prevent temperature variations around the child This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to weather changes around the child. For cold you can give syp maxtra /wikoryl AF 5 ml to the child 2 to 3 times per day. (Helps in decreasing running nose and cold) Try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly. Indirect steam can also be given. For fever and pain give paracetamol Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger honey diluted with water combination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day. Give warm water to drink.
