My daughter is 2 months 12days old she is having cough. how to treat her cough

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given onlgffy after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

As the first line of treatment for relief you can give steam inhalation which would be helpful . Cough Syrup should be given only after a proper evaluation according to the type of cough .self medication may not be so helpful so please consult your doctor once. if the cough is productive you can given.k brozeet-ls or ambrodil syrup for now only n continue only after doctor's advice.
