Q.

my daughter is 2.2 months old Wednesday we gave her vaccine of 1.6yrs- 2yrs old . from Wednesday she is suffering from fever today she is sleeping alot from morning and fever is also not subsidised. kindly guide I'm giving her paracitamol 3 times a day

A. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothinxg to worry. Swelling can be reduced by giving ice fomentation locaflly and paracetamol can be given for fever or pain. Thrombophobe ointment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

A. If it is three days complete then it is not because of vaccination you should check with your doctor there could be some another issue like viral or something that your child may be suffering from further medication would be suggested on that basis only
