Q.

My daughter is 14 months old. She sucks her fingers very much while sleeping. What should I do to stop her sucking fingers at night?

A. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go . In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycological cause and feeling ogdf insecurity or some stress . Just try to make the child comfortable and divert in some activities also spend good time with the child . In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solution available which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .

A. I Believe your child is having its teeth which is why your child is behaving like this during the sleep time also try to just check the gums of your child probably that way you’ll have a much better than clear answer to this situation otherwise you can consult your Doctor ones for that
