Q.

My daughter has started snoring through nose as soon as she sleeps. The sound is loud and it seems like she has nosal congestion or something in nose. She finds it difficult to sleep due to this. I have given her nasal drops many times but it doesn't help. Why is this and what can be done??

A. snoring in children occurs due to nasal blockage or it might be due to upper respiratory tract blockage. what you can do is give nasal saline drops every three hourly or go for steam inhalation and if it is still not improving then meet your doctor. you may have to go for medicated nasal drops or the child might be given anti histaminic medicines by the doctor
