Q.

My daughter has recently been weaned off bottle. She reduced milk intake after that. I shifted to a steel straw glass with a lid to give her milk. But, gradually her milk intake has gone to zero. I am unable to convince her to take milk using any glass or sipper or straw. I have tried adding flavors to the milk but no success there too. Was it wrong to take away her feeding bottle? How can I encourage her to get back to drinking milk? please help.

A. Hello dear parent! Prolonged usage of bottle is not good for oral care of your child. It was a tough call but some point of time it has to be done. Lead by example. Try sitting with your baby and drink milk along with her. Be patient and persistent in your efforts. Try giving in Babyhug stainless steel glasses and bowls. The maximum dairy intake should be around 500ml, rest of the nutrition should come from healthy foods. Good luck and take care.
