Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. growth of the child can be ensured by fulfillment of proper nutritional requirement specially iron and vit D is required for better growth and cognition.one should ensure that the child should get a proper balanced diet which contains all types of micro and macronutrients essential for growth.
any kind of infection specially any chronic infection should be ruled out and treated which may hamper the growth otherwise.
after 2 years of age you can give some powder like nangro/ prohance junior mixed with milk twice a day for one or two months but any health drink is not recommended before tw2o yrs of age.u can add flavours also to milk. avoid giving too much of milk otherwise it may hamper the hunger of the baby and the baby may not be taking interest in having other variety of food .and opposite to that if the baby is not taking milk properly the dairy products will be a good substitute like curd, paneer n cheese etc.
Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. the height of the child depends upon the genetic patterns as well as the diet the child is taking.
so meet your doctor who will tell you whether it is within the normal limits according to the height of the parents or not.
the doctor will calculate mid parental height and then tell you whether any intfervention in the form of supplements is required or not.
it is advisable that the child should take some amount of cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits daily according to the age of the child.
regular physical activity is also important to increase the weight and height of the child.
