Q.

My daughter has had a fever for the last 3 days. She has watery and red eyes, red lips and red ears, If I go by the symptoms it seems she has viral fever, I have consulted a doctor yesterday, The doctor has prescribed Paracetamol, Zinka Syrup and Immunity syrup. My question is do we also need to give her antibiotic syrup or not? Please suggest.

A. you cannot give antibiotics without medical consultation. also if it's viral infection or an allergy then there is no role of antibiotics. all infection and illness doe not require antibiotics. also dosage is given as per infection and type of disease. meet your dr for proper advice. kindly continue the mexdicine given by your doctor and take a follow up after few days of starting medicine. follow up is also required because the doctor will tell you whether you have to continue the same medicines or there will be changed in the medicines .
