My daughter has albumin in urine….what does this indicate

A. Albumin in a child's urine, also known as proteinuria or albuminuria, can indicate kidney damage. Albumin is a protein that's released into the urine when the kidneys are inflamed or damaged. The amount of protein a child excretes in their urine varies by age and body size, but the normal amount is less than 4 mg per m2 per hour or 100 mg per m2 per day
