Q.

My Daughter got fever from yesterday, so today we went for a checkup and doctor says that she has a gastric and doubt she has a malaria also...so what ever the doctor prescribe we give meditions but the fever is still not gettin low I dnt know what to do please give any suggestion...As a parent I'm nervous.....and worried๐Ÿ˜ฅ

A. Fever is a response of the body defence mechanism against any infection or stress related factors. Viral fever or flu infection is commonly seen in children where the symptom could be fever cold redness and watering from the eyes and cough. Paracetamol can be given and cold sponging of body to treduce the temperature. In viral fever the fever will repeat after few hrs for at least 2-3 days and geven last longer . Ibuprofen and mefanamic acid can be an alternative if fever still persist after paracetamol. Also hydration of the body should be maintained by giving proper liquid intake.

A. I donโ€™t know what is the current age of the child but I can only tell you that you can start doing Thande Paani Ki Patti as of now that is probably going to help in reducing down the fever and and whenever you post a question please pause the age of the child as well
