Q.

my daughter got chicken pox....can I switch on the Ac....and tell me what should I give her to eat

A. if your daughter is 1 month old exclusively breastfeed your baby on demand. breast milk will provide her with antibodies to fight the infection and to recover faster, also help in meeting the nutritional requirements breast milk gives hydration which is very important now provide comfort during illness is your baby is older and if breastfeeding then along with breastfeeding also provide other fluids like homemade fresh fruit juices, coconut water and thick soup, and boiled and cooled water give easy to digest , non spicy, Semi solid foods as preferred by child like Khichdi , porridge, vegetable Daliya good protein intake from thick dal, dal rice give fresh seasonally available fruits in between as appetite may be affected give small meals frequently and encourage child to eat clothe in loose comfortable cotton clothing apply Lacto Calamine lotion or other prescribed lotion for itching keep baby nails short and trimmed to avoid scratching and scaring maintain good hygiene
