My daughter don't want to sit on potty seat. She said she is scared. Pls help.

holding child on potty, making child to urinate in potty seat is for your convenience, you can start with that. also look for signs such as pausing for a minute, little straining, taking particular position to pass stools or urine. so its easier to start training and to clean up.
usually babies urinate after waking up, after feeding.
appreciate child, give stickers, stars when child uses potty for encouragement. get help of books cartoons teaching potty training.

Author of questionMom of a 6 yr 8 m old child6 years agoA. My 4year old daughter is still on diaper & feels comfortable urinating & passing stool in diaper. We are trying to give her potty training in our Western toilet with baby toilet seat. She is now seating on the seat, whenever she is having urge for urinating, she stands up from toilet seat & starts crying. We don't know whether she is scared or feeling dirty passing stool / urinating sitting on the potty seat.
Please advise us how to make her comfortable for doing urine/potty in the potty seat.

shilpi BhandariMom of 2 children6 years agoA. hello dear if s your daughter is scared of sitting on the pot then you can try potty chair for the baby initially and if you do not want to go for it you can also go for the pot seat which is specially made for the babies it is available on the first cry shopping app it is available in the different beautiful colours it will attract your baby
