Q.

my daughter 1 month 23 days old crying continuously while trying poop she is formula fed as well as breast fed she don't have constipation she mostly poops 2 times in a say she always cried before 2_3 min of poop but from last one week she cried for hours tried to poop but not poop easily there was a one little tiny particle of poop but not pooping kindly suggest me something having red rash near area

A. straining while passing stool as well as urine is normal. the child is crying due to colic pain (due to gas) and not due to the reason that the child has not passed the stool. infants may not pass stool for 10 days also and if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid it is xnot constipation. you can consider constipation only if it is hard and dry stools. you can give anticolic medicines and meet your doctor. burping / upright position for 20 minutes will help in decreasing the gas andx future colic pain
