Q.

My child was discharged from hospital last week for eco coli infection in stool. and 4 days after discharge he again passed some mucus blood in his stool he was again put on iv antibiotics. after 3 stools post antibiotics his stool became normal. since today morning I'm observing some mucus discharge in the stool. he is on soft diet now. and I'm hydrating him well. please assist

A. Mucus could be sometimes you do congestion in to the chest as well it is not necessarily always because of the problem in the stomach or some infection but if you need to be more sure about it if it is worrying you much because obviously I can understand your child has been on medication for a really long time so you can once consult a doctor again
