Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 10 m old boy1 Year agoA. mucus in the stool is very common phenomenon. it is usually present due to the throat mucus / thick saliva as well as respiratory secretions which pass on from respiratory tract (parts of nasal cavity , oral cavity and throat) to the gastrointestinal tract by swallowing and then comes out through the anal canal mixed with the stool. it may be present in less quantity during regular times and would be in more quvantity during allergy as well as cough and cold in the child. mucus in the stool is also associated with gastrointestinal infections as a less constipation as well as indigestion. treatment is usually given according to the cause

Sometimes sticky is into the poop can basically be due to an infection in the interest in it is kind of your child so I’m just going to advise you to consult your doctor because without an assessment I cannot provide you the clarity and also not the exact reason but mostly it is associated with an infection in the intestine
