my child cries when she doesn't poop

A. straining while passing stool as well as urine is normal. the child is crying due to colic pain (due to gas) and not due to the reason that the child has not passed the stool. infants may not pass stool for 10 days also and if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid it is not constipation. you can consider constipation only if it is hard and dry stools. you can give anticolic medicines and meet your doctor. burping / upright position for 20 minutes will help in decreasing the gas and future colic pain so it may be due to. colic and not constipation

A. Check for any e constipation issues. If it continues, I feel It's better to check with your doctor and follow their advise. That would be one of the best and safest option for your baby as of now. Take care
