my child age 1 year has persisting cough. suggest me medicines

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should biue given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is thevre paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

U Can go for Benadryl kids it supposed to be quite nice to go for it is just that you have to go for the paediatric version of the medicine for the child as of now the dosage is going to be a minimum of 3.5 ML but it will completely depend on the current rate of the child as well so just check it and give it accordingly
