my child 4.6 years old when season change he start coughing continuously then we give him cough syrup his condition not get better then we go to doctor give Pendisolone steroid 15 mg with 2 more syrup my child conditions is good now but i m worried about steroid given doctor say his cough will not go without Pendisolone

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. 7any cough most of the time either it could be allergic or infective which needs proper evaluation. initially you can start by giving steam inhalation to your baby which will help in relieving symptoms to some extent and will make the baby comfortable.for small baby should be given indirectly from a distance.cough suppressants ar sqfte usually avoided in children,it needs to be examined first before giving any kind of medicine. so it will be better if you consult your doctor for proper guidance along with proper dosage for the kind of problem.
