My boy is 9 months old. His birth wt was 3kg. now he is just 6.5 kg. His activities are fine and he is achieving his developmental milestones. But at this speed it seems impossible that he will be 9 kg at by the completion of his 1 yr. Plz guide to gain wt

Namaste Mom Baby is expected to almost double their birth weight by the age of 4 to 6 months and by the age of 1 year The current diet should consist of soft foods include varied foods as they gradually tend to accept solids you can now give them rice roti dal panner ghee curds dalia sago upma idli dosa chilla home made cerelac mix ragi porridge seasonal fruits & vegetables

A. Ma’am yes your child is currently maintaining a weight gain for a seven month old child looking at the worst weight so I’m going to recommend you to add more of proteins into the diet of your child and please check with your doctor as if the weight is not increasing it could be due to number of issues once the doctor is going to examine they can guide you and advise you on that
