Q.

My boy Ameen is under weight, he is 3 years old. but his weight and height is not gaining as i thought. weight 11 kg height is 87 cm. please suggest what can i do

A. You can add full cream cows milk, eggs, meat if non vegetarian, potatoes and all diary products like butter, curd, ghee, cheese, paneer etc. Add dry fruits and nuts like almonds, pistachios, cashew, walnut, fig, dates in the child's regular diet. They will help to increase weight. But as long as the child is eating properly and is active and healthy you need not worry much about the weight. Height mainly depends on the family genes. You can give healthy balanced diet and include nuts, dry fruits and Protein rich foods in his daily diet. Also make the child involve in activities where he can hop often. Yoga asanas like tadasana, bhujangasana, Bitilasana, marjariyasana will improve the height.
