Q.

my baby will soon turn 6 months old so is it safe to give her cow milk? also what all solids I can introduce to her?

A. Cow's milk should be given to the baby only after completion of 1 year of age because the protein and fat in cow's milk is hard to digest before that and many a times there could be cow's milk protein allergy in babies and lactose intolerance which could be severe sometimes. Also early introduction of cows milk can lead to iron deficiency anemia as cow's milk lacks iron and vit c . Also there could be micro bleeding in intestine because of the heavy protein of cow's milk .Tgto start with cow's milk should be given than gradually you can shift to buffalo milk or a packet milk which is a mixture of two .

A. Hello dear parent, yes of course ypu can give cow milk. However cow milk is not very nutritious as formula milk will be. You can give formula milk from.the brands like Simi lac, Nan pro, lactogen, dexolac etc they are all well known brands for baby formula milk. But must read reviews and check ratings before making any purchases. Good luck and take care
