Q.

My baby will be 6 months old next week and I sense she is starting to have separation anxiety, so she needs my presence all the time. My in-laws are insisting it's because of me co-sleeping with her during night. I need to train her to sleep in a cradle but also I want to give her the emotional attachment she needs now instead of giving her the fear. Any suggestions on how I should proceed further ?

A. I think you should talk to your doctor about it your paediatrician would be able to give you appropriate advice on this because having a separation anxiety is common with kids even mothers have a separation anxiety anxiety with the child starts going to school a lot lot of mothers don’t even like the child playing with anybody else not even their husband sometimes because they have a separation anxiety they feel that my child is not going to love me the way the child is loving all these things are normal but what you want for your child right now that you should have an emotional bond with your child your child should be with you this is an absolute correct pattern of parenting so I don’t see any problem with what you want and rest about your in-laws you can always tell them what you want
