my baby was suffering with loose motions from yesterday mid night...I consult my paediatrician he gave enterogermia for 2 days and z&d drops for 10 day's ..I am started these medicines from morning even though I gave the medicine motions were not stopped completely..plz anyone tell me how many days it will take to normalise

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite .
supportive treatment is very necessary whbere proper hydrationc should be maintained by giving ORS along with that probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose .
Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
