Q.

My baby was prescribed calcium and multivitamin drops at the time of birth.I was told by the same doctor to continue these drops until the baby completes six months. Now my baby has completed 5 months and 20 days.Should I discontinue these multivitamins and calcium supplements or continue them for a year?Any new supplements need to be given after six months?

A. You can discontinue giving calcium in multivitamin medications but you are supposed to do vitamin D medications until the baby completes one year of age. After six months one ML of vitamin D can be given per dayWrite Your Answer Here
