Q.

my baby was having a cold due to the fact that his nose was blocked. so I consulted the doctor and took the medicine of zukamin, colic acid, now he is having a fever can I put dolophor syrup for fever

A. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed. if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the tembiperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if requirfed .

A. Absolutely you can give any basic paracetamol to the the child that you have available as of now there is no problem with that and if the temperature is higher you can also do cold sponging that really helps a lot in reducing down the temperature
