Q.

my baby was given 6 weeks vaccine today, the injection site is red and swollen and its painful as well. can i give hot or cold compress at the site? why do paed says not to give compress, will it have any negative effect on the baby?

A. Hello, your baby girl is 1 month old and she has received a vaccinations and she got pain and swelling with redness at injection site so apply ice compression twice a day to reduce redness and swelling as well
