Q.

my baby was born at 36 weeks, now she's 2 months & 12 days old. she still not holding her neck properly. her neck is wobbly. is this normal or i should consult a pediatrician.

A. neck holding of the child should be present by 4 months to maximum 5 months of age.e regular massage of the back as well as the neck will help in strengthening the muscles of this area. s if neck holding and head holding is not proper by the end of 5 months it is important to meet the doctor for examination to find the cause of delayed milestones z

A. give enough tummy time. if child weighs 3 kg or above ,give massage daily. provide apt sun light at least 20 minutes a day

A. hi but it is too early to expect even normal full term babies can not hold their head at this stage of age so as your baby is premee baby it is too early to expect it. normally babies can hold their neck and head well by the age of 3 or 4 months so you can wait till 4.5 months age
