Q.
my baby vidhathri is 4 years .she is suffering from cold for last 1 month. is is having continued running nose . she got fever for 3 days. now fever is subsided but still nose block and running nose.what to do .please

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. it appears to be allergic cough/cold ( most commonly seen in children less than 6 years of age). usually they are not associated with fever and the cough and cold can continue for many weeks. they can be associated with temperature variations around the body (hot to cold or cold to hot environmental changes) which the body cannot sustain leading to cough usually at evening /night and morning. also they may be food allergy ,cold allergy and allergy to dust,smoke,pollens also. requires examination and start anti allergic medicines. meet dr. there is a possibility of startinzg anti allergic medicines for at least one month and the doctor will decide if the child needs inhaler therapy or nebulization. when allergies are not controlled they can lead to intermizttent respiratory infections which needs other medicine

NikithaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. hello put nasal drops and also use instant cold releif rub from Babyhug which can help and in regards to the medication it would be better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly
