Q.
My baby suddenly got fever and not eating anything and not drinking milk.. if She drank also she is vomting.. she is interested in drinking water.. can I give water??I am giving paracetamol syrup and antibiotic which doctor suggested previously.. is that ok if she is not taking any food??

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children8 years agoA. You can give paracetamol but antibiotic don't start on the first day of fever. If the fever persists for more than one or two days u can get the baby examined by your pediatrician and get some antibiotics prescribed if required. It's normal for babies to not feed well while they have fever. Try yo feed the baby frequently even if it is one or two spoons. Also keep the baby well hydrated with frequent feedings and lot of fluids.
