Q.

my baby's 13 month old. she had cold and fever (101.6°) so doctor gave her antibiotics for 3days. as soon as I gave her antibiotics (amoxycillin 125mg-bd) she developed red rashes on her chest. but still I ignored and gave her after dinner, rashes spread all over her body and she's scratching all over.. I've stopped the antibiotics. cold and fever is gone now. but should I visit the doctor for the rashes or they'll go on their own?

A. you must certainly visit the doctor for the rashes. this could be a side effect of the antibiotics. also if you have started any antibiotics you have to complete the course for the same antibiotics to suit the body if you have to give next time. no antibiotics course should be left half way. but in this case you could not complete due to the side effects. but you must let your pediatrician know about it.
