Q.

My baby passed yellow stool with white mucous like thing Is it normal?

A. hi good evening. if stool consistency is paste like or little watery nothing to worry about feed on demand, burp well , hold upright after feeds for atleast 10 to 15 minutes. if stools are excessivley watery or foul smelling better to consult with your doctor for examination and treatment, if bottle feeding maintain sterility as its a common source of infection mucus in stools may indicate cough ,cold , excessive drooling or infection in baby. if persistent consult pediatrician

A. in case of motions consistency matters rather than the frequency and color of the stool.if your child is comfortable and accepting feeds and passing urine and the consistency of stool is normal then nothing to worry about this

A. if motion is loose and sticky and having foul smell and also containing mucus and it then your baby is suffering from stomach infection keep your baby hydrated in consult a doctor for the medication
