Q.

My baby is taking iron dose suggested by doctor. Is that the cause of black poop or dark greenish poop? Is it normal to have black poop or should I consult doctor?

A. Yes usually iron supplements lead to black and dark green poop in babies and in adults as well so no need to worry about the colour of the poop take care

A. Black motion is hundred percent normal and common to be seen with the iron supplement sometimes green can be seen but that’s usually associated either with formula milk or if you’re giving any dominant food which is green in colour that can also lead to green colour motion
