Q.

my baby is suffering from cough I'm using cefixime oral suspension and levosalbutamol sulphate,ambroxol hydrochloride and guaiphenesin drops how many days it takes to cure

A. h it's variable avoid cold climate, cold winds. give plenty of feeds , adequate rest to the baby. indirect steam , hot water bath will also help. consult your paediatrician if baby is feeding less, excessively drowsy or if cold increases. post illness babies might be cranky , irritable. nose block congestion also result in loss of appetite, difficult sucking. try different head up feeding position. feed by spoon otherwise. Maintain hygiene. if bottle feeding, maintain sterility as its a common source of infections. . put steamer in room or To give steam to babies, best way is to make your bathroom steamy by running the hot water tap. keep the baby away from source of steam.

A. Apart from the this. Put a room humidifier in the room and add few drops of eucalyptus oil. Foment the baby's ears nose throat and chest with a warm cotton cloth. Make the baby sleep on an elevated position. Use pillow or soft duppatta. Give indirect steam to the baby
