Q.

my baby is soon going to start solids...should I let him eat on his own (which I regret for not practicing with elder kid..he still depends on my spoon feeding )...even though it becomes messy ..he will learn how to eat ..hand to mouth coordination...and interest for foods...??

A. oh definitely let your baby eat on his own. I am regretting not following baby led weaning with my son. Now he just does not want to eat on his own. You already have experience with your elder one. Let them make a mess. Eating on your own helps them learn when to stop eating after they are full and thus regulate hunger and fullness. I have adjusted to the mess of my son so now I feel I can let him make a mess but my parents are dead against it and since I was with them when he started solids, I went with what they suggested.

A. gfc. if there is no relief it is better you see your doctor for proper examination particularly physical examination if there is need for doing investigations to find out the problem and treatment ok
