my baby is passing very oily stools. is this normal?

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist5 years agoA. it may happen due to Medications you are giving if stool consistency is paste like or little watery nothing to worry about feed on demand, burp well , hold upright after feeds for atleast 10 to 15 minutes. if stools are excessivley watery or foul smelling better to consult with your doctor for examination and treatment, if bottle feeding maintain sterility as its a common source of infection

AbhayaMom of a 16 yr 5 m old boy5 years agoA. Hi mom If the baby is having cough, then oily stool can be due to mucus. If not then consult ur doctor for the same as it can be infection in stomach of the baby. Take care
