my baby is passing slimy stool since 4 days..is it normal

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. if the consistency of the stool is normal that is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency of the stool. the frequency can vary for 4 to 5 times per day and sometimes the child will not pass stool for fecw days also. Also do no worry about colour and smell of the stool when stool consistency is semisolid to solid. you havxe to meet the dr only if it is totally watery stool or it is hard stool or the child is having pain while passing the stool

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. hi if consistency is too much watery and if there is stool with mucus or foul smell ,you must consult your pediatrician. please offer plenty of breastfeeds. but as a nursing mother, eat easy to digest food. maintain good hygiene using Babyhug multipurpose cleaner.
