You have to just see the child should not be uncomfortable which may be because of factors like temperature of the room nasal blockage some discomfort like infantile colic or hunger.
In older children a proper discipline is required so that the sleeping pattern can be schedguuled according to a proper time try to avoid too much of screen time with sometimes cant be the causative factor for disturbed sleep.

Putting drowsy babies in bed helps link it with the process of falling asleep. Remember to place newborns on their backs to sleep unless your health care provider says another position is better for your child's medical needs. And clear the bed of blankets and other soft items
