my baby is now 3 months old he is having a cough for two days, and how to cure it..

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children1 Year agoA. Cough along with Cold and fever most of the time is a viral illness or allergic and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration needs to be maintained. you can give steam inhalation which may be useful .
cough needs to be treated with medicine like anti allergic expectorant bronchodilators antitussives or cough suppresents medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough and need.
In severe cough nebulisation can be given where medicine directly gets dilivered in the respiratory tract.
Alsguo if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose is 15 mg/ kg body weight and can be repeated after 6 hours again if requiredu .
Home remedies like Tulsi & ginger mix in honey can be tried for soothing.

We have a similar issue with my little one , please consult with the doctor . Our pediatrician recommended mucolite drops and saline nasal drop . Also , we did nebulization from the hospital as well .

NikithaMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. Hello baby being very small this requires a proper medical attention and it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better and also safe too
