My baby is now 10 months and having hiccups every now and then

A. hiccups in big children usually occur due to excessive laughing, belching, acidity as well as gas din the stomach and intestine of the child.
it is important to give plenty of water to drink as well as easily digestible food made at home.
diversion of the child also helps.
it is self limxiting problem and will decrease but if it is occurring again and again then it is advisable to complete a course of antacid.
