Q.

My baby is not gaining weight as per the ideal chart of growth of baby. she is started taking mother feed. can i go to alternative method of milk feeding like cow milk or powder milk with mother feed? Now her weight 3.9Kg.plz suggest

A. hello make sure that the baby is getting sufficient breast milk and also baby is able to suck well also.. if the breast milk is not sufficient then you can be giving infant formula milk which is safe and also have healthy and nutritious food in the diet which helps baby get required nutrition

A. Hai good morning !! If baby is improving weight ideally 400-700gm per month and peeing normal (7-10 Times ) a day , having adequate sleep then no need to worry. If you feel that your supply is low,then have rusk, roasted bread, papaya,chikoo, bottle gourd, Poppy seeds, garlic milk, garlic in curries, kheema to improve milk supply. Or else introduce formula milk simultaneously with breastmilk. From 6 month onwards start semi solid foods. But avoid cow /buffalo milk/packet milk because below one year babies can't digest animals milk.
