my baby is not brestfeeding except in sleep. she starts crying being hungry but not sucking milk. what should I do? M thinking of giving formula. can anyone give any suggestion. m feeling hopeless .

Author of questionMom of a 4 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. she is not properly sleeping too. and whenever she is awake, she is not sucking milk. but ar tummy is empty. and she cant sleep being hungry but stll not taking milk.. doctor suggested to give try for breastfeeding and if in vain try for formula

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 9 m old boy4 years agoA. do not worry continue breastfeeding and for confirmation of health you can meet the doctor who will tell you whether the weight gain of the child is proper or not and then will tell you whether there is need of formula milk

Crying of a Baby is mostly because of infantile colic and gas related discomfort which can be relieved by medicine like colicaid /gastica drops.dr other reasons could be nasal blockage, ear pain, diaper rash and more which needs to be ruled out and managed accordingly .
