Q.
My baby is neonatal jaundice since been a month still the bilirubin value is 13 .can you please tell me the ways to reduce the jaundice

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 9 m old boy2 years agoA. only with proper breast feeding the jaundice will decrease there is always a chance of neonatal jaundice in small children within one or maximum 2 weeks of birth in which the skin as the eyes may appear yellow. you have to meet the doctor for evaluation of the jaundice. normal simple jaundice will go away on its own with only breastfeeding but if it is more your doctor will advise phototherapy. the yellowness from the eyes may take around 1 to 1 and half month to totally go away.
