Q.

my baby is having running nose from 10 days. v tried all d medicines. yesterday v took her to hospital also. doctor has described antibiotics v r giving that to baby still running nose persists. m worried. how can I help my baby he'd rid of this?

A. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accgordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be mai xntained .

A. Hello dear parent! Maintain a good personal hygiene for your child, make your baby wear comfortable clothing as per the season. Complete the course of medication as prescribed by your doctor. Try giving indirect steam inhalation to reduce the discomfort. Add eucalyptus oil to the boiling water for better relief. Try giving warm turmeric milk.
